If you can see yourself fitting into the Lawrence lab, then please get in touch! I'm happy to discuss how you can fit within our core research objectives and obtain project funding. Our interdisciplinary projects can support applicants from most scientific and engineering disciplines. Prospective candidates should attach a copy of an up to date CV with their email.
Undergraduates
Undergraduate students can apply to perform summer projects in the lab. Please contact us early in the academic year about this to provide time for applying to charitable funding schemes.
Masters
We welcome University of Warwick Masters students (integrated or standalone) to perform research projects in the lab. We can also support Masters students from other universities performing external internships.
PhDs
We currently have two PhD vacancies available funded via the BBSRC MIBTP, which can be viewed at the links below:
-
Mapping bacterial respiration with electrodes (w/ MacPherson Lab)
-
Respiratory supercomplexes under the lens of single-molecule spectroscopy (w/ Beckwith Lab)
I'm happy to discuss potential projects and funding opportunities with prospective PhD students, ideally ~1 year before the expected start date.
Postdocs
Please get in touch if you would like to undertake a postdoc in the lab. We can support you in developing an independent project and applying for postdoctoral fellowship funding (MSCA, Leverhulme, HFSP etc.).
